Permanent Vow

Series: Left Behind
Exhibition History: Featured in the AGI Fine Arts Expo (2026)

The Story:
Part of the Left Behind series, Permanent Vow is a meditation on the quiet power of human choice and the artifacts we relinquish to move forward. A padlock, once a symbol of an unbreakable promise, now hangs in solitude against a weathered mesh fence.

Captured in high-contrast black and white, this image examines the "emotional endpoint" of a commitment. It treats the urban environment as an archive of movement, where the objects we leave behind—whether misplaced or definitively abandoned—carry a heavy symbolic weight. In the stark light and deep shadows, the lock becomes a monument to the things that no longer serve us and the void left in their absence.
